Do you recommend metal, plastic or bamboo circular knitting needles? Brands?
I'm going to be working with a super bulky mohair blend
If you have a knitting friend....ask to borrow each kind. If your knitting friends are few and far between, any good yarn store will let you bring some yarn and "test drive" the needles. I doubt the big chain stores (walmart, Joann's, etc) will let you do that. But they are reasonably cheap. You might pick up a few and experiment.
I personally love interchangeable resin needles. (http://www.knitdenise.com/) because I usually have 4-5 projects at once. And I can just slip end-caps on these and "steal" the needles.
Sorry, went off on a tangent there. When I'm not using the resin ones I like the metal for speed...and the bamboo (clover brand) for feel.
